Project Details
Overview
Lavender Grove Counselling is a Vancouver-based counselling practice providing therapy and adult autism, ADHD, and AuDHD assessments both in person and virtually across British Columbia. The existing website leaned on generic counselling language and didn’t help visitors understand whether they needed therapy, an assessment, or simply a place to start. The project focused on rebuilding the visitor journey around clarity, including a custom guided intake tool that matches each visitor with the right next step before they ever reach out.

The Outcome
The rebuilt website gives visitors a clearer path forward, whether they already know they want therapy, are exploring an assessment, or aren’t sure where to start. A custom guided intake tool asks a few simple questions, matches each visitor with the right therapist or assessor, and routes them straight to booking, all while feeling warm, inclusive, and genuinely human.
Strategy in Action:

Restructured the site so visitors could clearly tell the difference between ongoing therapy and a formal autism, ADHD, or AuDHD assessment.

Built a custom guided intake tool that asks a few simple questions and instantly matches each visitor with the therapist or assessor best suited to their needs.

Introduced each therapist with warm, individual bios that highlight their focus areas and credentials, helping visitors feel confident before ever reaching out.

Created a dedicated path for visitors who aren’t sure what they need yet, so uncertainty never becomes a reason to leave the site.

What Would This Look Like for Your Business?
Every project starts by understanding what your website needs to do — whether that’s improving what exists or building something new.
I understand this space personally, both as a website strategist and as the parent of a child with complex support needs, and it shapes how I approach every project like this one. Whether you support children, adults, individuals, or families, here’s how I work with therapists and helping professionals.
